Dr Kiran Sharma has a vast experience of 20+ years in the field of ophthalmology. After qualifying as a medical practitioner (1991) from SCB Medical College Cuttack, Odisha, she did her post-graduation (1997) in ophthalmology from MKCG Medical College, Berhampur, Odisha.
She had her micro-surgical training in Cataract surgery from Venu Eye Institute New Delhi. She worked as a consultant in Poornima Netralaya, Jamshedpur. Then she went for a short-term Fellowship in Small Incision Cataract Surgery at Globe Eye Foundation, Bangalore. She worked as a senior consultant at Shekar Eye Hospital, Bangalore for 13 years.
She had also done short-term training in squint surgeries from Dr. B.V. Rao, Shreya Eye clinic, Hyderabad and phacoemulsification training from L.V Prasad Eye Hospital, Bhubaneswar. She also was a visiting on consultant Sankalp Nethralaya, HSR Layout. She has a special interest in pediatric ophthalmology and squint surgeries.
